Project Description
The Cafe Royal Hotel has opened a luxury spa under the buzzing pavements of Regent Street. Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is a 1200m² luxury Spa Centre providing personal holistic experiences at the luxury 5* hotel. David Chipperfield Architects have transformed this compact basement area into four zones related to the four natural elements: spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air and organic bar/earth. 4SeasonsSpa have been involved with the architects to specify extensive use of soothing pale grey marble and aromatic ceder into the luxury treatment areas. The large lap pool has had an acoustic control plasterwork ceiling installed to help minimise noise within the centre.
