Theatre Royal, Drury Lane London
Theatre Royal, Drury Lane London
Project Description
The front of house at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane London, owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Company, had a substantial refurbishment in 2013. The £4m restoration involved returning the Rotunda, Grand Saloon and magnificent staircases to their original colour scheme. The front of house areas were thoroughly cleaned and repainted, period paintings were restored along with statues and the Grand Saloon’s adjoining rooms have been brought back into use. Andrew Lloyd Webber has achieved his objective to return the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to it’s original Regency splendour.
