City of London Information Centre Dusk

Project Description

The City of London Information Centre by Make Architects is situated across the road from south transept of St Paul’s Cathedral, London. The building won a RIBA award  and has become a landmark contrasting new architectural design with classic heritage.  The low level steel structure uses ground source heat pumps for heating and harvests rainwater for greywater and irrigation. The interior is clad in yellow exterior cladding panels that radiate colour throughout the day. A folded metallic envelope seamlessly wraps 140m2 of internal accommodation and formed by a steel frame braced with structural ply and clad in 220 pre-finished stainless steel panels.
